CARPOOL PROCEDURES FOR HWM

We ask that you please be patient as our new families to HWM learn the procedure for carpool. Please be reminded that there should be no cell phone use when you enter the school zone; therefore, no one should be on their cell phone in the carpool line or along Westpark Ave. Our school zone begins on South Morrison Blvd. “IT’S THE LAW!”  We ask that you drive carefully, be courteous, and please do not go around other vehicles in the carpool line.

CARPOOL DROP OFF begins at 7:55am daily

Please do not drop your child/children off until a teacher/staff member is on duty.

 

PK/K, 1st and 2nd grade students and their siblings are dropped off on the primary side.

3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grade students are dropped off on the upper side.

CARPOOL PICK UP IN THE AFTERNOON:

Please make sure that your carpool tag is posted where the duty teachers can see it. Also, if you do not have a tag, you will be asked to park and to go into the office so that our staff can verify identification before a student is released to you.

  • Primary Afternoon Carpool Pick Up: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grade students and their siblings except for PK/K siblings will be dismissed from the primary side.

 

  • Upper Side Afternoon Carpool Pick Up: PK/K students and their siblings will be dismissed from the upper side.

The following explains the lanes that you enter and exit. Please read carefully. None of these lanes are ever parking lanes. Look for Visitor Parking Signs when you need to park. No one is to park behind the café building due to deliveries and dumpster pick up.

BUSES ONLY:  ENTER-Far east, striped lane, nearest the fence – ENTER ONLY!

UPPER CARS ONLY:  ENTER-Lane next to buses only lane-ENTER ONLY!

PRIMARY CARS ONLY:  ENTER-Far west striped lane, nearest the school-ENTER ONLY!

ALL BUSES AND CARS-EXIT:  Lane in the middle on the west side, near the primary cars-EXIT ONLY! PLEASE OBEY THE TWO WAY STOP.
